Welcome to our digital Community of Practice (CoP). We are a growing community of digital doers and thinkers in Birmingham City Council that want to create a space to share, discuss and learn more about the ‘digital’ work we are doing across the council and how we are digitally transforming. We know this will be important in supporting our development.
As a reminder of what we mean by digital, we use the Tom Loosemore, ex Deputy Director of GDS definition of digital that is widely accepted: “Applying the culture, processes, business models and technologies of the internet era to respond to people’s raised expectations” [Ref: https://public.digital/definition-of-digital]
This community of practice is open to all staff and leaders with a role and interest in the development of digital capabilities. There is a strong emphasis on, learning from each other and sharing what works.
